APHC Compliance was founded to meet the ongoing challenges encountered by Compliance, Privacy and Security Officers, as well as other healthcare leaders. APHC Compliance Advisory Services were also designed to support organizations who do not have the staff with experience in all areas of Compliance or require expertise that may be difficult to recruit and retain.
APHC Compliance is unique in that you receive senior consultants with a wide range of experience, several which are nationally known. Angel Hoffman has multiple years of experience in the healthcare industry, with both the business and administrative sides of health care, which is uncommon with consulting firms. Her clinical expertise, provides her with a unique perspective and understanding of healthcare, and the relationship between the clinical and business worlds. This blending of knowledge and experience is beneficial for strategic and tactical planning for compliance and corporate accountability, to improve hospital operations, for investigative purposes, for creative and innovative problem resolution and most importantly for excellence in quality patient care. Ms. Hoffman has experience working with government agencies such as the Office of Inspector General (OIG), the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Office for Civil Rights (OCR).
Ms. Hoffman has served as a Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer, a Chief Privacy Officer and a Director of Quality. She has developed, directed and managed these programs as well as held management positions in the clinical arena. Her initiatives have achieved state and national recognition and are viewed as “cutting edge” which has resulted in her receiving a number of invitations to speak at national conferences.
She began her career as a Registered Nurse and she now has additional expertise in: health care compliance, risk management, nurse legal consulting, development of education and training programs (including online training) and multiple clinical specialties. This experience encompasses large academic medical centers as well as community hospitals, physician services and skilled nursing.
Ms. Hoffman has experience as a healthcare consultant which was recognized by a respected international company and she was retained to write compliance and ethics, organizational culture and leadership materials, to be deployed world-wide. She has also served as adjunct faculty for Duquesne University’s Nursing Program. In 2013 she was invited to teach the Health Information Technology (HIT) Course, via the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC), which was designated to oversee the HIT Program throughout Pennsylvania. This program was funded by the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) in Washington, D.C.
